Down on the Farm

Collin's mom's cousin, Amy, and her husband, Terry, and his 3 sons run a farm in Indiana. We are talking BIG farm, like 5,000 acres BIG!! They grow corn and soybeans. Jess, their oldest son gave us a tour of their barn where all of the BIG farming equipment is kept. I even got to get into a piece of equipment that is a sprayer. This thing had a touch screen computer with GPS!! Watch out farmer Brown!! This particular machine basically drives itself!! Collin grew up visiting their farm in the summertime, but hadn't been out there in several years so he really enjoyed getting to see how much it has grown. Grant had a great time staring at all the equipment. We look forward to bringing him back when he is older and can actually ride the equipment and learn about the farm. It was really interesting to see everything, cuz this city girl was pretty clueless about the farming business!! Thanks, Jess for the tour! The sprayer with GPS
The black arm thingys stretch out to about 40 feet!

Inside the huge storage barn where they store all of the equipment. The big green machine on the left of the pic is a combine. It's what picks the corn.

And here is Grant and DaddyG standing in front of the combine tire. Can you say big???!!
The pic doesn't do this thing justice, it looked bigger in person.

Horsing around with Dad

Collin Sharp Colin Benton Collin Martin
Yes, we have THREE Collins in our family!! Benton is Sarah's ( Collin's sister) husband. Martin is Cheryl's cousin Amy's son in law. Did you catch all that??!! (I hope I used my apostrophes in a grammatically correct fashion!!)

Grants new favorite thing to do is stick out his tongue, rub his gums with his tongue, blow raspberries with his tongue, ect. So DaddyG thought it would be fun to do the same!!

Daddy's Chair

While we were in Indy we had Grant sit and eat in Collin's old high chair that he used when he was a baby. In fact, all 4 Sharp siblings used this chair growing up.

Cruisin' on the lawn mower

Grant had his first ride on DaddyG's riding lawn mower while we were in Indy last weekend. At first, he didn't know what to think about it and looked a bit worried, but he eventually warmed up to it.

Indiana

Just wanted to post a few quick pics from our Indiana visit. We left on Thursday and got back late last night. We had a great time and really enjoyed our visit. Grant did really well on the plane...he's an old pro now!! He already misses his GiGi and DaddyG!!

Close to crawling!

I took these pics this afternoon. Grant is starting to get up on all fours and "rock." He started this not ten minutes after my parents left from staying a couple of days with us!! I was sad that they didn't get to see it! Collin comes in tonight from a business trip so he won't recognize his baby! Let the baby proofing begin!!

New swing!

Grant says...

New high chair!!

We finally got Grant a high chair!! Putting it together...you can see him in the background. I think he is trying to figure out a way to get over to "help" us put it together!
And he made it! He is such a good helper!

Trying it out for the first time

He loves it!
