Which led to him!!! Yep,that's carrots on him. I am pretty sure that those led to the poopoo strike of 2009. Luckily, he gave up on the strike a couple of days later!
While I was home, we decided to go to the park around the corner from my grandmother's house one day. This pic cracks me up! My grandmother decided that she needed to take her purse with her to the park. It is like a 3 minute walk from her house and somehow she thought she would need that purse in that short amount of time. She loves to shop so maybe she thought there would be some shopping along the way! She compromised and put her purse in the bottom part of Grant's stroller. Too funny!!
Enjoying the beautiful Sunday weather and of course, he's trying to get to that thumb! Looking out the window seeing what the "big boys" are doing outside. There's dad...
Grant presented his mommy with this card and some beautiful flowers (hydrangeas-my favorite!!) for Mother's Day. And, made his Dad change his diapers all day!! Sweet little hand!
We have started to give Grant some rice cereal after the doctor okayed it at his 4 month appt. Overall, I'd say that he is not too interested in it. Sometimes he'll open his mouth and take some in, but most of the time it just rolls back out. But every time we try it he gets a little better at it. Nearly every time he needs a bath after eating!
To get him more interested in eating we thought we would start sitting him at the table with us while we eat. You know, tempt him a little.
Our baby is now four months old!! Time keeps flying by!! Grant had his 4 month check up on Tuesday and did great. Hardly any crying with the shots he received!! We got the ok to start rice cereal...more details and pics on that later.
Grant at 4 Months:
Weight=15.2 lbs 50th %tile
Height=25 1/2 inches 75th %tile
Sleeps from 8-10 hours at night!
Some nights I hear him talking and smiling in his bed about 5am. I guess he is in there partying away by himself!
Likes to take a long morning nap with Mommy in her bed.
But sometimes just cat naps all day.
Rolls from his stomach to his back during tummy time.
Loves to smile and "talk" to mom and dad. Seems like he has found his voice in the past couple of weeks.
Has laughed a real giggly laugh twice in the last week.
Likes to Skype his grandparents.
Can grasp a toy and bring it to his mouth.
Is wearing some 6 month clothes already!
Mostly looks like his Daddy, but some people say he has his mom's lips.
Likes to go for evening walks.
Has become more interested in his toys.
We think his eyes are starting to look green, we both have green eyes.
His hair is brown, blond and red. Looks different in every outfit and in every different light.
He made his first out of town trip to Longview and did really well. He is a good car rider!! Falls asleep everytime!!
We have a couple of ponds in our neighborhood which have ducks in them that we like to feed bread to. Some of the ducks look kinda scary and will even chase after you when you are feeding them. Clay, Collin, Grant and I went for a walk the other night and here are some pics.
Collin's brother, Clay, came last weekend to meet his very first nephew. Oh, and he came to go to the Dave Matthews concert with Collin. Clay lives in Indy, but we hope that he might join us one of these days in Texas on a more permanent basis!
Grant gives his Unker Clay a head hug...with slobber too!!
Grant is trying to "pick" off the lettering on Clay's t-shirt.
Aunt Meredith also stayed the weekend with us. Grant had a great time with his aunt and uncle. Now, if Aunt Sarah could just make it down here!! :)
