Christmas 2010

Lots of pics to share!!  I am going to break Christmas down into a couple of posts. 

First up, Christmas with my family.  We traveled to Longview on the 23rd and came home in the evening on Christmas day.  Grant had a great time playing with his only cousin, Peyton and really enjoyed watching and studying all that he did.  He loved all of his Santa toys but took some time warming up on his new toddler 4-wheeler riding toy.  Of course now he is a pro at it and can even steer it!  He is a real wild child going a max of 1 mph down the street!

These pics crack me up!  Left:  Grant fell asleep at the table during Christmas lunch.  He has never done that before so I was glad to be able to witness that along with my family.  Right:  After he was good asleep, we put him in Poppa’s lap and they napped in the chair for about an hour and a half. 

 

We had a wonderful time in Longview and enjoyed spending time with family!

Trains at Northpark

We took Grant this past weekend to see the train exhibit at Northpark mall and loved it!  It is amazing to see all the miniature scenes and how the trains go through them.

Grant and daddy love to drop coins into the bucket!  This sweet lady even treated Grant to a candy cane.

 

We also took Grant to see a puppet show with a Grinch-like character.  Grant was excited for the show to start as seen below in the two top pics.

 

But then the puppet came out and you can see Grant wanted nothing to do with the show anymore.

Grant’s favorite part of the day?  Riding up and down the escalator!

Christmas program

Grant had his first Christmas program today!  He did really well, no crying, he loved it!

 

His class waved their stars to “Twinkle Twinkle, Special Star.”  My son was the best waver up there!!!  He even started dancing in his seat a little bit to the song!

You can tell these two above pics that he takes his star waving very seriously! :)

Way to go Grant!  You did such a great job today!  I hope this Christmas season will be the start of beginning to realize the reason for the season!

Need a hug?

Meet Graham, a neighbor friend that has become a favorite playmate of Grants.  I caught Grant showing Graham some love the other day by continually hugging him.  It was super cute!

The Blue Angels Show begins!

How they don’t crash into each other, I don’t know!!  It was really amazing to watch!  Grant enjoyed them and luckily, he forgot about his ear protection and stopped trying to pull them off!!  The jet engines were really, really loud!!  We want to go back next year and get a reserved seat so we can see all the planes better up close!

Ribbit ribbit!  Grant wore his frog costume to MDO on Thursday.

I just went to check on Grant tonight and look what I found!  He had figured out how to zip his PJs down!!  Collin and I about woke him up we were laughing so hard!!
