Happy Valentines to me!! And Grant!!

So this was my Valentines present this year. Collin and went and picked it out while my parents watched Grant on Saturday. It was the longest I had ever been away from Grant. You know how long car shopping can take!! It is an all day process!! Luckily, the salesman wasn't too sleazy. The truck had to go....not easy to put baby in and out, much less groceries and a baby!! I love my new car!! It is an 09 Chevy Traverse and the color is a deep navy blue.

Things I'm loving today

1.This cute onsie and the baby wearing it! It says "My heart belongs to mommy." 2. How Grant's right cheek looks as he sleeps on his dad's chest.

4. And last but not least, these fat baby legs!! The creases kill me!! And I know they will only get deeper as he grows, thus cuter!!

5. Baby hiccups!! I wish I could put that on the blog!! I think he gets them about twice a day.

The many faces...

As the weeks pass by and Grant and I spend more and more time together, I have started to figure out what different cries mean. Faces can also tell a lot, as you can see....

Feed me I'm hungry mom!!
Change my diaper, please. Grant does not like to sit in a dirty diaper!! He even likes to add more to the stinky diaper when you are in the middle of changing it. This morning he gave his dad a poo-poo fountain that shot across the changing table. I spent all morning trying to get it all out of the cracks and crevices of the wipe warmer! There is still some in there!!

We had a great weekend with Grant. He turned 5 weeks old on Saturday. We took him on two walks around the neighborhood. The weather was really nice but he never knew b/c he slept the whole time!

Collin's parents were here to visit Grant over the past weekend. It was the first time for Collin's dad to see his first grandchild! I think Grant put a spell on him as he is already planning their next visit. Collin's sister Meredith came up from uptown to visit Grant too. It was funny to see all three of them "fight" over holding Grant!! I don't think that baby ever had to lay in his pack n play because he was being held the whole time!! Spoiled already!!

Birth Announcement

Here are some pics that I took while trying to make Grant's birth announcement. I love the one with his foot hanging off the edge. Timing was crucial for taking the perfect pic. I had to make sure he was really full and really tired so he would lay there just right. I think Anne Geddes, the baby picture making lady should hire me!!

Grant is now one month!! How time has flown!! He is making better eye contact every day, holding his head up better, and eating every 3-4 hours. At night he has been known to sleep 6 hours straight!! But not consistently yet. We think he weighs around 9 pounds and is about 23 inches. His face is getting fatter and rounder by the day. It is so cute!! He loves bath time and loves to impress us with his pee fountain skills during it. Ha!
